This beautiful deep pink bouganvillia sits outside our apartment in Portugal.......just wonderful.

Flowers are just about everywhere this year in cardmaking so my blog is no exception.
Various flower styles using several different techniques.

All these postcard tags were created using dye based ink and ink dusters together with some vintage stamps sets...............nice to play about with inks and be creative.

Just messing about with the new Ink Dusters which I have to say are FABULOUS.  If you cannot get your head around brayering then these are certainly the best simple to use.  Stamp set used was from Inkylicious who sell the Ink Dusters INKYLICIOUS

This card was made by cutting a section of the front panel and then sticking it to the back of the inside panel, it does give a rather nice effect, just choose some nice pretty papers.

This tri fold card has been made with a haberdashery theme including the pin cushion on the centre panel
I have a dear friend who will be 83 this month and loves to sew so the card is ideal for her......enjoy!

WOW....My Eureka Moment!!!

Tim Holtz Workshop - Art From the Heart - Harrogate 17.02.11
What can I say to explain how excited I was to have such a super birthday present from my hubby, a morning with Tim Holtz the altered art guru.  Up at 6.30AM to prepare myself for the journey which took just over an hour.  The class started at 9.00am and there was a buzz in the air, all students waited with great anticipation for Tim to start the session.  We were given a bag of goodies and I mean a big bag of goodies all to keep!  We were shown the journal Tim had made and then it was heads down as he talked us through each section, there was no time for slacking not even time to pee.  After four hours non stop I think all were exhausted trying to absorb all the information Tim was feeding us.....I'll never remember it all, wish I could have taped it!  A big thank you to Dyan for putting on the event, what a star.
Driving home I had this wonderful warm glow feeling when you have done something really special.
Enjoy the pics ......Wendy

Having created a cut file for this card it can have any item inside the aperture.  The back and front panels are glued on the side scallop attaching  ribbon between the layers and a beautiful sentiment added to the die cut spellbinders frame inside, finished off with a few punched out flowers and leaves........enjoy

This card was made using hot, hot pinks and black lace with just a flowery feminine touch to finish.

This card was made at one of our workshops in 2009. Margaret sent it to Making Cards magazine as a thank you for the goodies she had one and found they have published it in the January 2011 issue cooooool is that!
